We can start by understanding what is happening and what matters to you now.

How this approach worksAbout me
I’m Rafael Cruz Velazquez, a clinical psychologist with a completed master’s degree in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy. I currently teach at master’s level and serve as clinical director of Ziora Copilot.
I care about putting evidence-based psychology to work for people’s wellbeing. Psychological distress can be deeply painful and interfere with daily life, even when others cannot see it. I work primarily with adults, and also with adolescents aged 15 and over, in English and Spanish.

Is online therapy right for me?
It depends on your circumstances, privacy and support needs. In our initial assessment, we consider whether online work is suitable for you and whether a different level of care would be more appropriate.
What happens in the first session?
We talk about what brings you to therapy, how it affects your life and what you would like to change. We also discuss relevant background and how we will work together. You do not need a perfect explanation or to share everything at once.
How long does therapy take?
There is no fixed number of sessions that suits everyone. We agree on priorities and review progress together. The length of therapy depends on your goals and circumstances.
Can I have my sessions in English?
Yes. Sessions are available in English or Spanish. Let me know your preference when booking or contacting me.
Can I request an invoice?
Please ask about invoicing requirements on WhatsApp before booking. Tax details are handled through the administrative channel.
What if I need to cancel?
Please review the cancellation and rescheduling conditions when booking on Doctoralia.
What should I do in an emergency?
This practice and WhatsApp do not provide emergency care. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department. In Mexico, the emergency number is 911.
